Creation of report models
Integrated in the development workshop (builder), the report model creation interface lets you define the report structure you want by using the COOX database model. Beyond choosing conventional configurations – title, description, header, footer, font, size, … – a report model lets you define its organization and content into chapters and sub-chapters.
Exploration of the data model
For each sub-chapter, you define the properties of the data source that you want to record in the report. Each property will be identified in the report by a multilingual label. Hence, you don't need to make a different report model for each supported language. The size of each field in the report is configurable and you can define filters for each sub-chapter. If you want to pre-process the data before incorporating it in the report, you will choose as data source a JavaScript that will give you the corresponding data table.
Business component integrated in report generation
COOX-RM provides you with a ready-to-use business component integrated in the report generation that can be set up in any application view. This multi-use component lets you generate a report in several formats. The most classical format is the PDF format, but you can also generate an Excel table or a text file. The options contribute a dynamic configuration of the report at the time of execution, for which the capacities are almost unlimited: start and end date of report, selection of production lots, selection of a precise property for which you want to print the follow-up… etc.
Excel document server
The capacities of the COOX-RM module do not stop there. From any local network client or web of your installation, you can have dynamic graphs formulated according to a report model and represented by an Excel graph. This type of graph can be configured as easily as a PDF report model and it has the same capacities: access to the full data model, filters, execution options.
