Process modeling
Process modeling allows for definition of formulations and production steps for products independent of the physical installation and automatic controls. The separation of the two crafts presents multiple advantages: • Clear and progressive expression of the expertise of chemists and formulation managers • Help with the progressive automation of a process • Smooth adaptation to modifications in production capacities • Production distribution to several manufacturing units The physical and procedural modeling conforms to the ISA-88.02 standard (graphics language Procedural Function Chart). The equipment is defined for the complete platform and constitutes a single repository that can be used by all the MESbox packs (SCADA, MTG, PIA).
Recipes and multi-step planning sheets
The MESbox PMT pack includes and extends the capacities of recipes in the MESbox SCADA pack. Each recipe is associated with a nomenclature (or formulation) on one hand, and to a procedure (planning sheet) on the other hand. The nomenclature and number of steps in the planning sheet are not limited. The MESbox PMT pack uses the runtime software of the COOX platform that manages the chain of different steps (allocation of corresponding units, execution of operations and phases, …) in conformance with ISA 88.02 (synchronization between steps, conditional transitions, …). Procedures can also be created dynamically.
Detailed planning – Task dispatching
The MESbox PMT pack is equipped with an operating interface for task planning to keep track of all the manufacturing orders in production or scheduled, in the form of a table or graph (Gantt chart). The differences between dates and scheduled and real durations appear immediately. The interface is extremely flexible and with a set of options, it allows you to concentrate only on one equipment or to manage the entire workshop. For each production order, the status of the phases in progress is displayed in real time in the form of a table or animated sequential functional chart.
Direct phase control
If necessary, authorized operators have access to an intuitive interface that instantly provides the status of the phases of any equipment or section of the plant. With that it is easy to understand the reasons for an operational stop and/or to modify parameters in a step to allow production tracking. And for all that, traceability will not be sacrificed: these interventions remain under the control of the COOX runtime program and all the operations with their effective parameters will be tracked.
History of manufacturing processes – Electronic batch file
All operating information on the manufacturing processes is tracked in the database of your choice, by applying the native mechanisms of the COOX platform. The MESbox PMT pack provides them in the form of history, or electronic batch file that combines all the useful information attached to a batch: batch properties, list of equipment used to produce it (with start and end date of use), list of process steps executed with time and date stamp, the parameters for set points and their effective values, as well as unusual events in the process (alarms, operator intervention, …) that occurred during the batch manufacture. The electronic file could be printed in the form of a report.
