Automatic calculation of standard indicators
The overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) delivered in real time is a power tool for tracking the performance of your plants. It consists of an objective indicator of improvement in availability, efficiency and quality of your production, displayed by machine, sub-assembly or team. On the graphs, the shutdown or stop periods are easily identified by a colored background. Several other standard indicators are provided in real time, such as the operational availability, efficiency rate, quality rate, MTBF, MTTR...etc.
Analysis diagrams of causes for stops and rejections
The MESbox PIA pack also provides you with precious analysis and summary information. Hence, at any time you can obtain without effort the production of the current team, the stop or rejection rates hour by hour, follow-up of operation times of plants, production comparison by team, by day, week, month, even year. The Pareto charts allow you to classify stops and rejections by order of impact according to their cause. This information can be exported to Excel®, printed as a PDF report or on a printer.
Acquisition in manual or automatic mode
Stops and rejections are entered automatically on the equipment or entered by the operators. The two modes are possible in the same equipment. For manual input, a simple panel enables you to directly enter the stop and the identification of its cause. For the convenience of operators, the size of keys and character fonts are adjustable. In automatic mode, the 0PC, TCP/MODBUS and Applicom/Woodhead communications are provided as standard.
Operations planning
For reliability of your analyses, planning allows you to organize shutdowns, scheduled stops (pauses, maintenance, ...) on a weekly basis with non-recurring periods (holidays, annual shutdown, ...). It also allows you to schedule the work teams.
Customized indicators (Premium version)
In the database consolidated by the acquisition server (calculations of total durations, counting, ...etc.), you create your own indicators and their names and you define their calculation mode in the form of a mathematical expression. You can also reuse the already calculated standard indicators and apply them in your own calculation expressions. The new indicators will be handled in like manner as the standard indicators in the associated visuals.
Technical architecture
The MESbox PIA pack consolidates the COOX® platform that allows you to expand its capabilities beyond performance analysis to all areas of MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and SCADA. It is based on an open relational database the model of which conforms to the ISA-95 standard.
